HAIKU LIST: END OF 2022

HAIKU LIST: END OF 2022

Dec 21, 2022

I think my hypothesis is true. I suddenly think of writing haiku when it's cold. Winter is my muse. Okay, that's fine. I love the cold, the quiet, watching Nature lean into its introvert aspect. This is when the world and I actually manage to align somewhat. So, as you can imagine, here's some off the head haiku.

A cold, biting wind

The entire world on ice

Spring's children asleep

The highway is packed

Cold makes living impatient

Deer in beige field

Canada geese flock

Cerulean sky gray mood

Life hunts for more warmth

Winter is early

At last! No sudden heatwave

I missed you old friend

In Winter I heal

This is my summer rebirth

Wrapped in potent chill

Afternoon traffic

In a Japanese truck, stopped

A marsh hawk flies past

Enjoy the cold (when you can! I know most do not like it), and see you next time! Stay safe.
