Here’s a nice stretch and cool down for you to try after your workout. This one primarily focuses on the back and lower body, so it would be great following a leg, back or full body day!
🌬Remember, there is a time and place for static stretching! More specifically, this type of stretching should be done when your muscles are warm and most extensible (ie. After your workout) in order to:
➡️improve range of motion/flexibility
➡️reduce pain and stiffness
➡️decrease stress/tension in the muscles and mentally
➡️increase blood flow
➡️improve performance
🌬As you move into each stretch, stop at the place where you are slightly uncomfortable but not in pain! Make sure to move slowly and don’t forget to breathe (something I struggle with when stretching)!
🌬Ignore the AC sound…. However if you do have the sound on, the timer is included for you. Each stretch is held for 30 seconds with a 10 second transition period between each one!
Don’t forget to like 👍🏻 and save for later!
Hope you enjoy!
