There is something quite special when two creative women have an opportunity to be on the same wavelength. A while back I collaborated with the beautiful Matilde, who is an Italian-born singer and songwriter, currently living in West Yorkshire, England.
She was actually one of the participants who took part in my "Our England" project and you can read her story here.
But, back to creative work. She's an open and free spirited soul who is beyond talented. When I met her for the first time (virtually), she sent me a few of her songs she had recorded as part of the duo In The Morning Lights with her friend, Frankie. An unlikely duo for sure, but I remember sitting at my desk that night and listening to some of the songs on constant repeat. Her voice, blended in with Frankie's, blew me away. It was a grey and dark afternoon, and Matilde's room was on the top floor, with just one ceiling window giving us light. I had some flowers, she had the playlist ready, and I started shooting.
