Good news--
For most people, general health benefits can be gained from even small increases in physical activity. Something is better than nothing, so you might as well find a type of exercise you enjoy.
For substantial health benefits, aim for a minimum of 30 minutes a day, 5x a week, or accumulate up to 150 minutes a week.
Walking counts.
Walking is such an underrated form of exercise. I'm convinced that if everyone took 30 minutes a day to step away from their work, set their phone down, go outside, and go for a walk, we'd all be much nicer, happier, and healthier people.
Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people don't shoot their husbands. They just don't.
