I like to believe that at some point in our freelancer journey, we've all had THAT client..
You know..the one who doesn't have a single clue what they want...the one that asks for 1238439revisions.. Yeah, that one! Ugh😖
Story time you didn't ask for, so I happened to work with a client on a 2week max project that ended up taking a month(!!!!). They ofcourse didn't know what they even wanted so I "wasted" a whole 2weeks of sending them drafts of their logo.
Yes,girl, you are right. I should've charged them extra..but I didn't and on top of that they said the drafts weren't remotely close to what they wanted ( NO SH#IT SHERLOC YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT U WANT?).
Long story short, I'm still working on that project and I trully hope it ends as soon as possible.🤞🏼 Moral of the story:
Always charge extra revisions & don't feel bad about it. It's your time they're paying.
Don't work with clients that you can feel from the start will be a pain in the butt.
Learn to terminate projects that just don't give you that joy & sparkle inside!
Ending on a more happy note, I would love to share some tips of overcoming the anger associated with these kind of clients and how to tell them to buzz off in corporate language!🥰🥰 What y'all think? Let me know in the comments below or on my socials!
