CONVERSATION GAME: The ALIBI "La interrogación". I developed this resource from a classic conversation game in World language teaching. I needed something to inspire Spanish 2, 3 and 4 students to learn and practice the irregular preterite and being accused of a crime turned out to be the perfect motivator! The game is ready to go with no additional preparation required and is perfect for small groups or virtual break out rooms. I gave each group editing access to a copy of the file. In this game, students play criminals and police detectives. Students who are police detectives prepare 10 questions about where the accused were and the accused prepare an alibi. This speaking game is ideal for intermediate learners for oral review and speaking practice of preterite regular and irregular verbs as well as a review of question words. This material includes instructions for both criminals and police officers, crime scene images and music, question words review slides, example questions, a slide by slide review of irregular verbs and 2 crime scenes with photograph evidence. I hope you like this resource as much as my students did!
