A great afternoon of attacking rugby in a match which began with cloudy overcast conditions. However, as Otley regained the lead following an early Rotherham Titans try, the sun made a welcome appearance.
You’ll notice when it happened in this set of pictures as at one point ickledot was photographing more or less directly into it. Above you can see Otley’s second try which gave them a more comfortable cushion in terms of the score. Though Titans fought fiercely right to the end, the hosts never really looked like losing from that point.
The sun disappeared over the horizon mid-second half and it was amazing how quickly the darkness came. It didn’t darken the spirits though, as the running rugby continued.
Good to see so many old chums from both clubs along with a host of new faces. Thank you to all for such a warm welcome.
