The Tree Hugger Wanderer: 9 CONCLUSION

The Tree Hugger Wanderer: 9 CONCLUSION

Apr 25, 2022

As the trees lift their roots from the ground,

I'm frozen and don't make a sound.

The girl stays close to my side,

So afraid that she wants to hide.

The hooded figure stares me down,

Begins to move and circles 'round.

The trees move in closer like thunder,

And strangle the figure asunder.

As I look down at his broken face,

I realize I know him from someplace.

It wasn’t a dream or a vision to see,

Just a human wanting to betray me.

All along it was the trees I could trust,

For they were the ones who turned him to dust.

With the tree spirits I wander in a happy whirl,

Who happen to take the form of a little girl.
