Dear friend,

I was thinking about this, earlier... It’s hard to be thankful or in a state of grace during ‘Maintenance Mode.’

On that note... Hello!

Permit me, as you have before, Dear Diary, to explain it the way I feel it... The way I see it 💫

Maintenance mode is a state of being one with what is. You are required to be, whilst your kinks are being worked out (in downtime), whilst you are fed with nutrition, updates and upgrades. There’s little to do except sit still, and surrender to the process. Should you decide to work against it and push hard, you slow down what needs to be done. The machine could glitch, misunderstanding the over-ruling Mothership command. This means it could malfunction, not being able to cope with the fact that you persist despite its programmed ‘rejuvenation time.’

This is a great metaphor when we consider not just our devices but our bodies, minds and souls too.

I have a tendency sometimes to do the opposite of what I’m feeling on a heart or instincts-driven level. I try to not operate like that anymore. When you are ‘receiving updates’ or are in a state of upheaval, I believe it necessary to tune in and see what can be made of what is. Check in with yourself. “Can I allow what is? Can I be still? What can I do to ground?”

There are times when I cannot arrive at a decision on my own. When this happens, I write down my feelings. I pull oracle cards. I pray. These things have rarely failed in helping me find an answer that fits like a puzzle piece to the quest-shaped groove within. It could be advice or guidance that gently calls me out, inviting me to consider other approaches. Sometimes, the answers are not so straightforward.

Life and the situations you find yourself in don’t come with manuals, and we won’t always know the right/sound thing to do. Trust that what you choose, based on Heart (that magick mix of intellect, instincts and intuition), will point you in a direction you were meant to head anyway.

We can never predetermine though where our Compass and the Fates lead us, this is true also.

So a question for a question it is, and in this, may we find our answers too.

Life for the making! Mysteries abound! Grace to save the day!

Be well,

Roanna
